AYSO Spring Select is a competitive season for teams comprised of players selected by a particular coach to participate. There is no requirement that a player have played on a competitive team before; however the player must have played in at least half of the previous Fall season.
Coaches, assistant coaches, referees and team parents must sign up online at ayso55.org as a volunteer, have completed the AYSO Safe Haven, CDC Concussion, and Sudden Cardiac Arrest courses online at AYSOU. Referees must be trained and coaches must have their division specific coaching license.
AYSO Spring Select is a competitive season for teams that play in matches and tournaments all across Southern California. It is a great way for the players to improve their skills as soccer players in a fun and competitive environment.
Spring Select is a competitive AYSO soccer program where teams from Region 109 play teams from other neighboring regions. The season runs from February through May, and teams participate in both regular league games and occasional weekend-long tournaments.
Here are the main Spring Soccer program features: -- Everyone who registers and has a coach will play - we will be running Spring Soccer as a mixture of our normal Fall program (Core) and our Spring Select program.
AYSO WiKi Spring Soccer The intent of the Spring Select program is to provide an ongoing soccer experience for those players with average to above-average soccer skills.
