19 Ιουλ 2024 · If BitLocker is enabled and the drive encrypted and a change is detected then it will prompt for the recovery key. An update on its own will not cause BitLocker to prompt for the key it must be something else. Perhaps another user will have an idea. This thread was started earlier

7 Δεκ 2021 · 1 Device encryption uses XTS-AES 128-bit BitLocker encryption method and cipher strength by default in Windows 10. If you would like to use a stronger XTS-AES 256-bit BitLocker encryption method and cipher strength, then you will need to change the BitLocker encryption method and cipher strength before turning on device encryption.
1 Μαρ 2024 · Bitlocker has turned itself on after an automatic update and now it locked me out of my computer and requires a recovery key. I went to microsoft on a different computer and logged in to see if I had a recovery key and there was no key to be found. Additionally, I cannot restart the PC to enter recovery mode to reset the computer.

29 Φεβ 2024 · It seems I had to run reagentc /enable once again after turning off and on BitLocker, or possibly I only needed to reboot the PC without turning BitLocker off. I wish KB5028997 had addressed warnings and the extra steps needed for BitLocker-enabled drives. But again, it should've run automatically without even requiring any of these steps.
