I have tried the reset and repair options and that was no use. I even checked for updates and nothing. I even tried restarting my laptop and that didn't work either. I also ran the sfc /scannow command and once again, nothing.

I type the pin and I get the Welcome message. Instead of going to my desktop, I get a black screen with the cursor visible. And now it gets really weird.
15 Οκτ 2012 · Hi My pc keeps suddenly crashing to a black screen and the only way I can get my pc to work is to switch off and reboot. I have run anti virus and gone through help files, chescking display, clearing the cache and checking for driver updates the usual stuff, but it is still happening any help much appreciated. 12 Νοε 2022 · I have the same problem, a black screen after the most recent MS update. I've tried turning my pc on and off and restarting it. There is not a problem with the GPU nor do I need to purchase a new pc. The black screen resulted from the latest update. And, one can see from a simple google search that many others are having the same issue.
18 Ιαν 2022 · Hardware configuration: CPU: intel12700K. GPU; NVIDIA quadro RTX 4000. Monitor: HP M27fwa. OS: Windows 10. So my issue is that whenever I am browsing videos (youtube, WSL, Netflix, etc) I get a black screen for a moment (less than 1sec) almost everytime I load a video, maximize or minimize the browser window where I am watching the video, close the window, etc.
