16 Ιουν 2024 · I just installed Blender 4.2 and can't find "Import Images as Planes" in new extensions. Why it was removed? Where I can find such a useful function? In a list about add-ons previously shipped with Blender, there is no button to install add-on "Import Images as Planes":
30 Ιαν 2020 · blender.org seems to be down as of now. And I could not find a list of trustworthy download mirrors. Does anyone have such links in handy?
$\begingroup$ Yes, after extraction/installation a default Windows Blender installation should be anywhere between 290 and 300Mb aproximately. But then again if your hard drive is so full that 300Mb cause trouble, then you should probably be doing some cleanup maintenance to your computer in the first place anyway, and perhaps uninstall uneeded stuff and archive old documents $\endgroup$
18 Ιουλ 2024 · From Blender 4.2 onwards there will be no external add-ons repository integrated with the Blender source code. Instead these add-ons will either move into their own repository and shared on the extensions website or exceptionally, be converted into a “core” add-on.
Download the .zip or .exe for your architecture (64bit is preferable if your machine supports it). The .exe will run an installer to choose where to place Blender and to configure MS-Windows to have an entry on the menu and to open .blend files with Blender. Administrator rights are needed to install Blender on your system.
22 Ιαν 2018 · If I understand your question, you want to save on your hard drive a texture from a Blender project: open a window as UV image editor window, select the texture from the drop down menu (which contains all the images in the project) and choose "Image - Save as image".
16 Δεκ 2018 · I'm trying to import a STEP file to Blender, but it doesn't work! This is how I do: I open the STEP file in Freecad and I select everthing, then I export it as a .stl file, but when I import the file into Blender, I only get parts of the object and some of the parts are in wrong position. Very frustrating and the client is waiting.

13 Ιουν 2018 · For Blender 2.8 and later, you will need to right click the render menu label in the menu bar at the top. This will open up the correct file, but not in the correct place. To do that, you'll need to copy (CTRL+C) the contents of the string on the highlighted line (In Blender 2.90, it is TOPBAR_MT_render ), and then use the find function (CTRL+F) to find the definition of the menu.
