Buckhorn Campground is a relaxed, family-friendly campground conveniently located off Hwy 177 and situated next to Lake of the Arbuckles. Popular recreational activities include boating, swimming, fishing, bicycling, and birdwatching.

16 Ιουλ 2024 · Buckhorn Campground. The Buckhorn Campground is located on the eastern side of Lake of the Arbuckles. It has four loops: Loop A is open seasonally. It has 21 campsites including 1 accessible site; all of these sites are first come, first served. Showers are available in the restrooms. Loop B is open seasonally.
The Lake of the Arbuckles is a reservoir located in southern Oklahoma, 8 miles (13 km) southwest of Sulphur in Murray County. The lake covers 2,350 acres (950 ha) and is a principal water supply reservoir for the city of Ardmore, some 30 mi (48 km) to the southwest.
This Army Corps of Engineers-run campground offers a mix of tent and RV sites with 30 & 50 amp electric. Many of the sites offer a waterfront view of Lake of the Arbuckles and the campground is also home to a fishing dock, boat ramp and swimming area.
Lake of the Arbuckles is forned by Arbuckle Dam which is a feature of the Arbuckle Project. The lake is located at the confluence of the Buckhorn, Guy Sandy, and Rock Creeks. The area presents unusual opportunities, combining recreational use with scenic, scientific, and historic values.
Located at the end of Buckhorn Road, it is approximately 10 minutes from the town of Sulphur and is an ideal spot for hosting birthday parties and other gatherings with friends and family. Ample parking and a spacious lakeside view make this pavilion ideal for larger groups.
