Single Bullet Theory (SBT) is an American heavy metal band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The band was founded in 2000 by guitarist Matt DiFabio after the disbanding of Cipher (active again as of Dec. 2015 and renamed "Vedic" as of Aug. 2017).
The band's name comes from the theory of a single bullet used to kill John F. Kennedy as opposed to the infamous "second gunman" theory. Not to be confused with the Richmond band, also called Single Bullet Theory, who released a series of new wave albums in the 1970s/'80s.

The lead singer, alternating between guitar and sax, wore his dark hair Prince Valiant style, with a tailored white jacket and a large shiny saxophone pin on his lapel.

Single Bullet Theory was an American new wave band from Richmond, Virginia. The band was founded in 1976 under the name X-Breed; [1] the new moniker was adopted after the addition of a guitarist and bassist to the original three-person lineup. They self-released an EP in 1977 and by 1979 were opening for Patti Smith. [2] .
