The Philippines' Bureau of Plant Industry, (Filipino: Kawanihan ng Industriya sa Paghahalaman, [4] abbreviated as BPI) is an agency of the Philippine government under the Department of Agriculture responsible for serving and supporting the Philippine plant industry sector.
The (NPQSD) of the Bureau of Plant Industry is the regulatory arm of the Philippine Department of Agriculture when it comes to matters of import, export, domestic movement, as well as market access of plants and plant products.
The Plant Product Safety Services Division (PPSSD) under the BPI is tasked to undertake responsibilities relevant to food safety of fresh and minimally processed plant foods from primary production to post-harvest stages of the food supply chain.
