California Quarterly Package. Quarterly Packages are packages that consist primarily of clothing, tennis shoes, food, and health and beauty items. Inmates in the California Department of Corrections that are classified as Privilege Group A/B are allowed one 30 pound Quarterly Package each quarter.
Our Securepak program allows a family or friend to send quarterly packages to an incarcerated loved one that contains food, clothing, hygiene and shoes to California prisons, institutions or facilities via an approved vendor.
All California Quarterly Packages have a weight limit of 30 pounds (450 ounces of products & 30 ounces for packing materials). There is no dollar limit on the California Quarterly Packages. All allowable items are featured on the website and in the catalog.

In an effort to reduce contraband and time-consuming searches of packages destined for inmates, family members cannot send inmate packages, also known as quarterly packages, directly to inmates, who are incarcerated in California State Prison.
Inmate Quarterly Packages are available through authorized private vendors. ( View the approved vendor list. Since 2003, the CDCR has contracted with a number of statewide and national companies that ensure inmates receive packages.
