Camp Dixie is a place where campers, counselors, and staff members are able to grow spiritually, physically, emotionally and intellectually, in a positive way by experiencing, reflecting and evaluating in an outdoor-based Christ centered program.
Many of our traditional activites will be offered. i.e. swimming, singing, crafts, bible study, games, and campfires. Confirmation Camp Week New for 2025. Several congregations are in the planning stages of creating a week-long camp event that will focus on Confirmation age campers and topics.
Join us for Camp Dixie's annual College & Career Retreat New Year's weekend - December 29-31 - for young adults including high school seniors and graduates, college students, and grad students. It's a retreat filled with great friendships, Bible study, opportunities for service, worship, small groups, late nights and laughter!
Camp Dixie is a waterfront summer camp and retreat facility located on Perdido Bay in Elberta, Alabama near Gulf Shores. Camp Dixie was started in 1952 by the Lutheran Layman's League at five area congregations.
