16 Φεβ 2024 · All I can find is the cbc wikipedia, which mentions that is was shut down several years ago (I can't quite remember when), no mentions of the games it had or anything. I remember it had a cooking with mamma yamma game (the mascot of kids cbc at the time) where you could make different meals such as breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner.
Reminder that the CBC does have over-the-air broadcasts, which include HNIC; you may be able to use an antenna to get these games. I had a small spare piece of coaxial cable, so I used these instructions on youtube to DIY myself an antenna, which I am able to use to get the CBC and a few other channels.
Selling off games to Amazon, squeezing out CBC Gem... boy times are tough over there at Rogers. I guess they've finally realized they only have two years left to try and squeeze whatever they can out of people to try and cleanup the books on this contract disaster.
Only what's on CBC tv channel. Their streaming stuff are all movies and shows. CBC doesn't own the rights to NHL hockey anymore. Rogers does. They let CBC air games now and then. Next year Amazon Prime is added to the mix. Monday night games will all be on Amazon Prime next season.

16 Απρ 2024 · The Leafs will for sure be on CBC Gem to watch. Only issue is they might overlap with other games for example: Last year Jets vs Knights went to OT while the Leafs Vs Bolts game started the first period. They continued to show the Jets game rather than the Leafs game. After the Jets game was over they then moved the Leafs game to CBC to view.
30 Απρ 2022 · The CBC sports app has all the games. Their video player casts so well to the TV. But I have noticed their quality still isn't as nice as the streams on the high seas so I still use that.
The CBC's under enough financial pressure without airing these games with no (direct) revenue from them. Rogers screwed over the CBC and hockey fans with that $5.2 billion, 12-year deal giving them the rights to all games on all platforms in Canada til the end of the 2025-26 season.

Due to corporate (Rogers') greed, my kids and I cannot follow Leafs any more, as many games are blacked out and Rogers always plays the same non Leaf game on both CBC and CitiyTV OTA channels.
