Jericho ran from September 20, 2006, to March 25, 2008, on CBS. It was cancelled after its first full season because of low ratings. A fan campaign persuaded the network to bring the show back for another season, of seven episodes, after which it was cancelled again.
It was cancelled due to the lack of support of the show. The second season is still a "complete" season, it just wraps things up pretty quickly. If you're still interested in what happens after season two there is apparently a comic that came out to continue the story where it was left off.
