CFSA takes reports of child abuse and neglect 24 hours a day, seven days a week at (202) 671-SAFE or (202) 671-7233. This hotline is the gateway to protection and help for child victims and those at risk up to age 18 in the District of Columbia.
CFSA will continue to provide essential services and duties to ensure the safety of children in the District, including the child abuse and neglect hotline (202-671-SAFE) that will be available to accept reports 24/7.
The Freddie Mac Foundation Child and Adolescent Protection Center at Children’s National Hospital is the only medical center in the District of Columbia with a team of health professionals dedicated to victims and survivors of child abuse and their families.

Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA) constituents may submit a complaint to the Office of the Ombudsperson for Children (OFC). You cannot be penalized by any child and family serving agency for filing a complaint with the OFC.
