Surely the mere idea that you can walk, run and dance in shoes made of glass is the biggest plot hole of the story. I am aware of the theory that someone translating the original story from French mistook the word vair meaning squirrel fur for verre meaning glass but the mistake has persisted in all English versions of the story. The story of Cinderella starts with a young girl with a very wealthy father who dies and so her step mother raises her as her own. Even with all of the wealth from her deceased father and the charity from her step mother, Cinderella is still the victim in the story.
