Today I went for a walk around Copper Creek Lake to play Pokémon Go. This has got to be one of the best Pokémon Go sites in Des Moines. It was a beautiful day and I enjoyed my walk.
22 Σεπ 2016 · Copper Creek Lake Park is a large park with lots of different trees and plants, a large pond, playground, and trail access. A paved path goes around the lake and there are short, kid-friendly grass nature trails behind the playground. Great place to find geese!
The place is clean, comfortable, and the prices are a bit more reasonable that some of the others. It is nice enough that it is worth the VERY short drive from Des Moines proper. It is in an adjacent suburb just East of the DM city limits, just barely into Pleasant Hill off of University. That makes it a snap to get to.
