25 Απρ 2009 · I don't think you will be able to monitor much. I remember when the 8300 came out there were a lot of posts on the forum about CPU monitoring and ALL the posts back then noted Dell did not enable CPU temperature monitoring on most of the consumer line, including the 8300, (except some XPS models).
For the newer generation of AMD processors like Phenom, Phenom II, newer Athlons, Semprons and Opterons (K10 architecture and up), and their derivatives, there is a different formula: 'CPU Temp* = Value / 8'. *CPU Temp is because the Phenom\Opteron (K10) have only one sensor per package, meaning there is only one reading per processor.

When the application that is causing the high CPU usage is finished (whether it be updating, scanning, or simply processing), the CPU usage and, as a result, the thermal temperature and the fan will stabilize back down after some time.

Third-party tools such as HW monitor info show warning messages and CPU temperatures in red font when CPU T > 90 o C. CPU TCC Offset Slider provides you more authority to adjust the CPU thermal event algorithm.
8 Αυγ 2015 · Speccy from piriform.com. an excellent lil program. will tell u temp of cpu and hard drive, and some other inside info of ur machine. try and download it from the piriform website, (yes, its free) bcoz other web sites will try to give u extra shareware that u dont want. piriform does not.
