On this day in music, December 12, 1992, Whitney Houston began an incredible 20-week run at the top of the Billboard 200 with The Bodyguard soundtrack. Houston, who starred in the film and performed many of the songs on the album (including her iconic cover of “I Will Always Love You”), co-executive produced the LP with Clive Davis.
