23 Αυγ 2015 · The tricky part is that I do not have enough experience with Windows 10 to fully grasp the interactions when I restrict the defaults. For instance, I suspect some software will fail catastrophically or silently (rather than pop up a warning) when my privacy settings preclude the success of an explicitly requested action.

24 Αυγ 2020 · Click on "go to backup system and restore (windows 7)" then click setup backup, and follow the directions. It will save an image of your whole system to a separate drive. Maybe use a usb HD, or install a second HD to keep it on. Then you can safely turn off system restore, and still have a way to repair your PC. Make a new backup when you want.
