He is the 2018 Detroit Blues Society Solo Challenge winner and a multiple online songwriter and harmonica contest winner too. He has performed his original blues, folk and funk tunes to crowds at festivals, clubs, coffeehouses, bookstores, online radio and other venues throughout Michigan.

Music has been a large part of Clint Lavens’ life, from when he learned to play the guitar at age 12, to his days performing in local rock and blues bands, to more recently when he took second place in the Detroit Blues Society Challenge.
Listed below in summery form are some of the men and women who have enriched the blues tradition in Detroit in the past and those who continue to do so. This summary is no more than a bare beginning and much work remains to be done. Artists are invited to submit bios on themselves as well as how their fans can each them.
