8 Νοε 2022 · By the time Katniss is alive, a combination of propaganda and fading memories have caused people to forget that District 13 wasn't just a poor graphite mining District: it was a major defense producer and refined nuclear materials for warheads. Presumably, the Capitol focused a major strike on District 13 at some point during the Dark Days.

They were not the ones oppressing the other districts for their own wealth and benefit; they literally helped lead them to overthrow the Capitol and its tyranny. District 13 was the main benefactor for the other districts during the revolution and war.
9 Οκτ 2022 · Ok so Snows entire fortune was gone because district 13 was destroyed. The peace treaty was signed after the rebellion was lost and snow believed district 13 to be destroyed at that point. But when he became President he would’ve became aware that district 13 still existed.
16 Μαρ 2023 · Throughout District 13’s 75 years of survival, arms build up, expansion underground, etc., why did no one bother to suggest expanding the defensive network of 13 so that they can better interdict hostile aerial incursions into their airspace before they even have a chance to be within radar range of the district?
30 Απρ 2023 · District 13 has a strong "I rather die than join the enemy" mentality, which is why they carry nightlock pills. The reason they were so cold and apathetic to Peeta especially during his apperance in the capitol's TV screenings is because in their eyes, he is a traitor by being their mouthpiece, even if he was brainwashed and tortured.
District 12 is confirmed to be in the Appalachian. District 13 is within “an hour’s flying distance” from 12. District 13 has old underground bunkers stocked with computers and nukes. District 13 is in the “Northeast”, but this is a world where the sea level has risen considerably, so the northeast of Panem could be anywhere.
24 Δεκ 2023 · It's implied in the books they had a worker's revolution to seize the nuclear arsenal. If they were still a District of the Capitol I don't think the Capitol would face any risk of being nuked because they'd still own the District 13 base. I do think they might be one of the richer districts given their usefulness for the Capitol military.
31 Οκτ 2022 · District 13 had its own nukes (it's main industry was nuclear weapons) - I think it's said some time during the Mockingjay book, I think during the time when the capitol fired conventional missiles at District 13, the missiles wouldn't have nuclear warheads because then District 13 would retaliate with its own.
23 Ιουλ 2014 · The location of District 13 is never revealed by name in the Hunger Games books, however, its location seems to be somewhere in the vicinity of North Bay, Ontario. My reasons are as follows: -District 13 is located north of District 12. -It exists where a massive underground defence network has existed for generations (NORAD Underground Complex).
23 Αυγ 2022 · A district one family becomes majorly powerful because of their weapons business--so wealthy in fact that they become a target. Caution is heeded, but tragedy awaits. While the old families struggle (or even fail), new families are a threat to the old ways and could pose a threat to how things were done prior to the war and District 13.
