5 Φεβ 2021 · In my case, this is C:\Dogecoin. Rename the existing wallet.dat file, for example to old_wallet.dat. Now, copy (do not move, but copy!) your backup wallet file into this directory, and make sure to name the file wallet.dat. Start Dogecoin Core and wait until the wallet is loaded. The wallet will sync; ignore this and continue with the next step.

I’ve opted to use the Dogecoin mobile wallet for Android to make this payment. This allows me to use my device’s camera to scan the QR code and make the payment. Screenshot. 1 Μαΐ 2021 · I've been through a lot of research and work spent on restoring my wallet on Dogecoin Core. Now I'm sure for many it won't be most suitable or comfortable to do that, since the blockchain of main wallet takes about 70GB of space and tons of time to sync for the first time. Information found here can be still very helpful for you regardless.
10 Δεκ 2021 · In the Android app Dogecoin Wallet, the only possibility is to make a backup of your wallet. That backup file is encrypted (not human readable) and also can't be restored in other software. You can only restore it in the same app or you can decrypt the backup file to get your recovery phrase.
30 Ιαν 2021 · The Dogecoin Core wallet does not make the dogecoin.conf by default, so we will need to create the file ourselves in the Dogecoin Core data folder (see Where is my Dogecoin Core data folder? above). There are many ways to create a file, so I'm only going to cover one method here. Open the "Notepad" application on your computer.
28 Ιαν 2021 · In my Dogecoin folder I found a key backup file and a wallet backup file with the blocks, probably because when you open it there is a lot of text and there are blocks in strange spelling. Strangely enough, the desktop wallet with the blue dog can no longer be opened.
19 Ιαν 2021 · Do a fresh install, let it sync, quit, replace the wallet file with yours, unlock it with the passphrase. Or decode the file directly. Either way, once you’ve got the keys, keep them safe in a form you can actually read, and you won’t be in this position again in future.
