14 Οκτ 1996 · About This File. DOOM95.EXE will work with any DOOM or DOOM2 main wadfile. With DOOM95, you no longer need to keep your main wads in seperate directories. Copy all main wad files (DOOM.WAD, DOOM2.WAD, PLUTONIA.WAD, TNT.WAD, etc) to the DOOM95 directory and launch DOOM95.
Doom95 contains a Win95 executable and a front-end. It comes with the shareware Doom wad but works with any main wad file such as registered Doom, Doom2 and Final Doom. Unzip into a temporary directory and type 'SETUP' to install. Linux SVGALIB Doom. 166 KB.

10 Νοε 2014 · Doom 95 lacks a giant decade-spanning archive of high-quality speedruns which depend on it for "level playing field" comparisons. Also, as there is no source code, a "Chocolate Doom 95" is not possible, regardless of demand for it.
Doom95 is an official port of Doom to the Microsoft Windows operating system, and is included in many later releases of The Ultimate Doom, Doom II, and Final Doom. This port was developed by a team at Microsoft headed by Alex St. John, the creator of the DirectX specification.
If you do not have any of the Doom games, you can download the free shareware episode here. If you downloaded the shareware episode, you should now have a file called doom95.zip. Right-click on the file and extract its contents into a folder, e.g. Doom95. Download latest Chocolate Doom version here.
