Do you mean programs icons? If it's the case, then you can basically use almost every image. It just needs to be 32x32 or 96x96 and saved as .ico. Once you have the picture, right-click the desktop icon, select Properties. Choose the personalization tab, then click on the Change icon button.
I want to change some icon images of my desktop icons. To do so, I am doing Right click on desktop icon > Properties > Change icon . Then I want to add few more icons images (which are actually not available there), so use option Brows more... , but when I point the folder where I have kept newly downloaded icons (just .png images), it do not recognize anything.
5 Ιουλ 2020 · If scale is set to 125% on laptops, the download icon with the folder is always displayed in the icon picker. But when applied, the icon is exactly the same, only dependent on the icon size in Explorer. I actually found multiple versions of imageres.dll from different Windows version, but the download icon didn't change.
