Kind regards, This worked for me. Now when I clink on a PDF link it opens with my default PDF viewer which is Foxit Reader. Does exactly like it used to with IE. Thanks Leo
27 Ιουλ 2022 · The PDF has to be transmitted (downloaded) to your PC one way or another. If you let Edge open the PDF, it still downloads the PDF but (depending on your settings) stores it in OneDrive/Pictures instead of the Downloads folder. Once the download occurs, you can click the PDF in the download dropdown and it will open the PDF in Acrobat.

21 Φεβ 2021 · If the PDF setting is to always open the file using the external (or system) software, and the Downloads setting is to 'always ask', then the PDF file exceptions will show up if you download a file by right-clicking on it's link and selecting the 'Save link as' option. 24 Ιαν 2023 · In the Save As window, previously saved pdf's appear as Adobe Acrobat Document types, with the Adobe logo. But after saving as pdf documents, when I open the same folder, they appear as Chrome HTML Documents. I also followed your 2nd suggestion, and unchecked all 3 boxes: Desktop, Documents, and Pictures.

27 Μαρ 2020 · If you have selected Always open in Adobe Reader option while downloading PDF file in Microsoft Edge, you may want to try is, if you are able to see the download of PDF files (before it launches in Edge), you can click on the Ellipsis (…) next to the file that is downloading and uncheck the “Open with System viewer”.
