I've heard about some accusations related to that, but I though that all of them ended up being false, so why has that topic resurfaced now?
I know his videos are very unique for Minecraft and offer excellent entertainment value but there are loads of YouTube channels that have tried unique video ideas like Dream that didn’t get anywhere because of the YouTube algorithm. He did say in a Q&A video he spent a lot of time researching the YouTube algorithm.
