He is soon seduced by Mrs. Robinson, the wife of his father's partner, who methodically pursues the inexperienced young man. Soon, they are meeting regularly in hotel rooms. Warned by her to stay away from her daughter Elaine, his father goads him into taking her out on a date.
Elaine Robinson. Elaine is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robinson. She has been away at Berkeley, and it has been some time since Benjamin last saw her. After Benjamin is pressured by his parents into taking Elaine out, Benjamin purposely tries to sabotage the date before realizing how easily he can connect with Elaine.
During a party given by his parents to celebrate his graduation, Benjamin Braddock (Hoffman) is seduced by Mrs. Robinson (Bancroft), the wife of one of his father's closest friends. They have an affair, but Benjamin then falls in love with her daughter, Elaine (Ross). Jealous and angry, Mrs. Robinson does everything to keep the young couple apart.
