14 Σεπ 2007 · Five regions have a high employment rate, with 96 for every 100 of their labor force reported as employed in July 2007. These are Cagayan Valley (96.2%), Zamboanga Peninsula (96.1%), SOCCSKSARGEN (95.9%), Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (95.7%) and MIMAROPA (95.6%).
15 Μαρ 2007 · The employment rate in January 2007 was estimated at 92.2 percent, which placed the unemployment rate at 7.8 percent. This means that nine in every 10 persons in the labor force were employed. By comparison, the employment rate in January 2006 was 91.9 percent.
The employment situation in April 2007 showed marked improvement compared to the same period last year. Employment level rose by 3.1% or 1.007 million new employment created. Growth occurred mainly in agriculture, fishery and forestry sector (5.1%) and service sector (2.6%) while industry employment remained sluggish (0.4%).

1 Φεβ 2002 · Unemployment has remained high in the Philippines, at almost twice the level of neighboring countries, despite relatively fast employment growth in the past decade. Employment growth was not sufficient to reduce unemployment because of rapid population growth and increased labor force participation.
