6 Οκτ 2024 · Beginning October 15, 2024, EMWD will become the water and wastewater provider for more than 4,000 customers previously served by the city. The two areas transitioning to EMWD service are the Downtown Perris Water System and the North Perris Water System, located just west of the Lake Perris dam.

The Eastern Municipal Water District of Southern California is a regional water district formed in 1950 to secure additional water for a largely rural area of western Riverside County. In addition to water service, responsibilities include sewage collection, water desalination and water recycling.

1 Οκτ 2024 · The City of Perris purchases approximately 640 M gallons of water each year from Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD). That is approximately 1.8 million gallons of water everyday. The City of Perris has a storage capacity of 2.5 million gallons and then distributes the water to approximately 2,300 customers through a 37 mile distribution system.
