26 Δεκ 2013 · FontAwesome 4 and below. That's the wrong way to use it. Open the font awesome style sheet, go to the class of the font you want to use say fa-phone, copy the content property under that class with the entity, and use it like:
5 Μαρ 2013 · I'm trying to use Font Awesome on my application, I was able to integrate the font using Typeface.createFromAsset(), but I also want to use the icons provided by this font, but so far I haven't been able to do that.
(Open the .otf or .tff file from explorer to start Windows Font Viewer, copy the font name). Replace the Font Awesome 5 Free Solid with the font name (after the #). Do not install the font otherwise you cannot verify that you have followed these steps correctly and the font may not work across computers that do not have the font installed.

13 Απρ 2013 · Here is a solution that works with simple CSS and standard font awesome syntax, no need for unicode values, etc. Create an <input> tag followed by a standard <i> tag with the icon you need. Use relative positioning together with a higher layer order (z-index) and move the icon over and on top of the input field.
Font Awesome v5 uses other font names than older versions: For FontAwesome v5, Free Version, use: font-family: "Font Awesome 5 Free" For FontAwesome v5, Pro Version, use: font-family: "Font Awesome 5 Pro" Note that you should set the same font-weight property, too (seems to be 900).
