  1. 17 Μαρ 2003 · Either can be done but the 243>260 is better than 308. The 243 neck length will be good and the 308 is sometimes marginal. The biggest issue with 308 is that the neck will mostly likely need or should be turned down. The other issue is you will see doughnuts forming when going from 308 to 260.

  2. I went with the Lapua brass for this experiment due to the lack of availability of 260 Remington brass from Remington, and the great intrinsic consistency of Lapua brass. Accuracy was excellent, at less than 0.5" five shot groups at 100 yards during fire-forming.

  3. 18 Αυγ 2013 · I would hold out for Rem. or Lapua .260 brass (my Remington brass has been very decent and has lasted 6 firings so far with one trip through the annealer). If you must form brass it would be easier to start withi 7mm-08 brass (no turning required) or .243 Win. brass (have to turn to take out donut).

  4. 2 Μαΐ 2013 · What is your favorite parent case for forming .260 rem brass? I have a bit of Remington 308 that I was thinking of forming into .260 Remington. Also, which die sets would you recommend for forming, size and seating.

  5. 1 Ιαν 2010 · I would like to know the proper way to change .308 win brass into .260 rem brass. I have a bunch of 308 brass, but shoot my 260 more often. I've never changed brass from caliber to another, and am clueless.

  6. 18 Μαΐ 2009 · Simply running the .243 or 7-08 brass through the .260 Rem F/L resizer die gets the job done in a single pass. I've never needed to neck turn the brass that's made from 7-08 (or .243), and I've never seen any problems with the brass that could be attributed to donuts.

  7. 31 Ιαν 2017 · I found 28 or 29 pieces of once-fired 308 brass the other day. I cleaned them up and reformed them in a 260 Remington die. I dented a few shoulders, but 3 of them have small dents just below the shoulder. Do you men think there is any problem loading and firing these?
