On the south bank of the Gila River is a set of railroad tracks that’s used by the Copper Basin Railway. Spectacular blankets of wildflowers, in full bloom along the trail that switchbacks up through the canyon, with a distant look at the brilliant green foliage of sycamores and cottonwoods that line the river.
