  1. To manually select files to save offline: Follow the steps above to turn on offline access in Google Drive. Open the Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides home screen.   8. Alright guys, after going through all of these comments, i found a way to legitimately save "a google docs file with all the markups". Its a little bit of a process but i will get right to it. here goes. 1)Hit control + P (or command + P if on mac) this will bring up a pop up for printing the page, I use google chrome.
