Google Voice calls the phone number and gives the code. Enter the code click Verify. Tips: You can link up to 6 numbers. You can't link a number that's already linked to a Google Voice number. For Voice for Google Workspace accounts managed by your work or school, text messaging is available only in the US. With your Google Voice number, you can send text messages at no charge to U.S. and Canadian numbers (excluding U.S. territories American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and U.S. Virgin Islands).
Google Voice doesn’t offer mobile service plans. You need to contact your carrier to get a new number to keep your plan active or start a new one. To get Google Voice calls on your phone again: Set up a new phone plan and get a new number. Add the new number from your phone service plan to your Google Voice account as a linked number.
You can dictate text through your voice with Assistant voice typing on Gboard. Punctuation is automatically added as you speak. You can type on your keyboard even if the mic is still on. On Pixel 8+ and coming soon to Pixel 7, if you use multiple languages, Assistant voice typing can now automatically detect your spoken language seamlessly.
When you start an international call, you get a message from Google Voice. The message says how much the call costs or that the call is routed through Google Voice. Important: If you don’t get the message, the call isn’t routed through Google Voice and your mobile carrier may charge you for the international call.
