In 1951, Fred and Ethel Noyes on a walk through the woods found the original structure of The Smithville Inn, purchased the property and continued the tradition by restoring the building and serving early American dishes.
Around the 1960s, Ethel and Fred Noyes decided to expand the site into a historical attraction, similar to Colonial Williamsburg. Several historic buildings from around South Jersey were brought to the site, restored, and converted into shops and attractions.
Welcome to Historic Smithville and Village Greene. Our village is open every day of the year except Christmas. It's a wonderful place to shop and stroll. Enjoy the views, cafes, restaurants and shoppes. Find a one of a kind gift or just relax and have a cup of coffee. Open daily year round.
