This secure website is provided for individuals who want to have their Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance processed online. The Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance Check will provide the applicant information as to whether or not they are listed in the Pennsylvania statewide database as a perpetrator of child abuse.
How to Request. You can request a Child Abuse History Clearance online or through the mail. Online Submission. Child Abuse History Certification requests can be submitted and paid for online through the Child Welfare Information Solution (CWIS) self-service portal.
CWIS will create an interoperable case management system allowing for state and county acceptance; and real-time electronic sharing of information critical to administering the child welfare program in Pennsylvania.
