13 Φεβ 2024 · The answer is because there was a bug in the 7260/3160 driver/firmware that made it incompatible with WiFi 6 Routers. In the final release of the driver before these adapters were discontinued, a fix for this bug was released. Thus, you need to have this particular driver release in order to get the fix the issue.
28 Αυγ 2024 · The Intel Driver and Support Assistant tells me I have an update available for my Network Adapter, so I asked it to install it (see attachment 1). The install process tells me that "No Network Connections found" and fails. I tried it a number of times after restarting my desktop (see attachment 2) but no go.

But in the Intel drivers assistant there is an update for the graphics drivers, in the HP assistant it isn't and also the Intel assistant shows a warning that says:
