4 Ιαν 2016 · The solder connecting the WI-FI chip to the circuit board deteriorates over time. The only fix is to re-heat the solder so that it regains it's conductivity (for a time). This is why the "Heat with a hair dryer / place in a freezer" fix actually works.
23 Μαΐ 2013 · Actually, it's because the wifi chip is burnt out. I've seen this issue quite a bit. It's definitely not software related, but hardware related. What you need to do is: 1) remove the back glass and unplug the battery and remove it. 2) Remove the Emi shield that covers the LCD connector.
