JABO, Inc. Reno, Ohio. 1987 – The present. JABO, Inc. was founded in 1987 by Joanne Argabrite and Jack Bogard. Mr. Bogard was the owner of the Bogard Company which had suffered financial setbacks while in Cairo, WV. Ms. Argabrite was the accountant who was helping him resuscitate his company.
Both Jabo, Inc. and its new incarnation as Jabo-Vitro Agate, Inc. produced mainly industrial marbles. However, from time to time the company released mostly limited runs of swirl type marbles, thanks to the skills brought to the company by McCullough, formerly of Champion Agate.
His passion lead to his purchasing of the Peltier Marble factory the Peltier Mansion which was annexed to the marble plant. He created the Peltier 1 st and 2 nd Run marbles which were a sparkler type which were largely given away.
