15 Απρ 2010 · What I learned is that a better performance cam upgrade for the 2.5L was what is called an RV cam--a cam with lobes engineered to increase backpressure and low end torque at the slight expense of high rpm hp.

20 Ιαν 2010 · I put a new cam on mine; it is a Mopar Performance .450 lift 256 duration Mopar High Performance camshaft (the most extreme cam for the 2.5L that Mopar made for street use). It does improve the power of the engine, and I used off the shlef springs from Summit; no mod needed to the head.
5 Απρ 2009 · I've been looking around to see if anybody makes a better than stock or high performance cylinder head or camshaft for my 2.5L. I figure if someone makes a good cam and cylinder head it would add a good 40- 50 horsepower and torque.
23 Απρ 2012 · No performance gain, but a very slight increase in fuel economy. This one will stay on my Jeep because it didn't hurt and very slightly helps. I will concede that the fuel economy gains and smoother idle may only be the result of the new cap, rotor, plugs and cables.
