14 Μαρ 2011 · Howdy. I just joined this fine forum today. Picked up a 95 ZJ grand Cherokee Orvis edition last week for what I thought was a good deal at $1350. It has a knocking noise that sounded like a bad lifter or valve. Come to find out it's unfortunately much worse, possibly a main bearing or cam ( according to a mechanic friend I trust).
3 Ιαν 2024 · I have a 2021 Grand Cherokee WK2, and this issue started almost immediately after purchasing. With key in hand, foot on brake pedal, press the start button, but it does not start. It acts like it wants to (odometer needles move) but no ignition. After 5-10 seconds, the seat will move and the radio will turn on.
30 Ιουλ 2007 · A further improvement to the grounding system can be made using a #4 cable, about 10" long with 3/8" terminals at each end. Attach one end of this cable to the negative battery bolt and the other end under the closest 10mm headed bolt on the radiator support just forward of the battery. Napa part number 781115.

2 Μαρ 2023 · The service manual motor replacement procedure is simply, disconnect the electrical harness, loosen the 4 bolts, pull the motor from the axle. The intall of the new one is to install a new O ring, connect the electrical harness, install the motor into the axle , tighten the 4 bolts to 60-84 in lbs.
14 Φεβ 2023 · My wife brought it in for service because the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee lost all power while driving on a busy road and had to be towed to their dealership for safety reasons. (this partly due to a fully corroded bolt that the alternator ground strap connects to). 4 month old Jeep with a fully corroded ground strap bolt on a car that supposedly has electronic rust protection.
17 Σεπ 2018 · Dropped the Jeep off at the dealer today for p0305 (cylinder 5 misfire). They pulled the plugs and they looked fine. They pulled the coil pack (sorry if this is wrong name, I'm not technical) and they said it tested good. They needed further permission to dig deeper because the they need to do a compression check.
