17 Σεπ 2024 · The confirmation of Jerry Welch’s passing came through a heartfelt Facebook post that read, “The staff at Ashway Speedway would like to send their deepest condolences to the family of Jerry Welch. Jerry was a staple of the racing community and a part of our family at Ashway; he will be missed deeply amongst the community.”
15 Σεπ 2023 · Jerry A. Welch, age 59, of Knoxville, passed away September 11, 2023. He was the longtime owner and operator of Welch Performance, where he worked on racing go-carts.
Out of respect for the family we wanted to wait until they had posted to post our condolences and prayers for the Family & Friends of Jerry Welch. He was a HUGE part in the Karting Community for as long as most of us can remember. We truly thank Jerry for all he did for us as a track and all he did for our racers.

She is 5-for-5 this season and the 9-5 morning-line favorite in Saturday’s (July 6) $100,000 Moni Maker Stakes for 3-year-old female trotters at Eldorado Scioto Downs.
