Kosovo [6] (albánsky Kosova srbsky Косово/Kosovo), plným názvem Kosovská republika, je částečně uznaný stát v jihovýchodní Evropě. Je vnitrozemským státem ležícím ve středu Balkánu, na severu a východě sousedí se Srbskem, na jihovýchodě se Severní Makedonií, na jihozápadě s Albánií a na západě s Černou Horou.
Kosovo sa rozkladá na východe krajiny a leží v ňom hlavné mesto Priština a Kosovo pole, miesto, na ktorom sa v roku 1389 odohrala významná bitka medzi Osmanskou ríšou a Srbskom so spojencami.

28 Δεκ 2021 · Kosovo has pursued bilateral recognitions and memberships in international organizations, moves that Serbia strongly opposes. Kosovo signed a Stabilization and Association Agreement with the EU in 2015, and the EU named Kosovo as among the six Western Balkan countries that will be able to join the organization once it meets the criteria to accede.
