The Los Angeles Live Steamers Railroad Museum (LALSRM) is a non-profit public-benefit corporation founded in 1956 by live steam enthusiasts for the purpose of educating the public about railroad history and lore, and to promote live steam and scale model railroad technology.

The Los Angeles Live Steamers is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) public benefit corporation. We are funded by member dues and by gifts and donations. Public train rides are a suggested donation of $4.00 per person.

Founded in 1956 by a group of train enthusiasts, we educate the public in railroad history and show live steam, gas-mechanical and electric railroad technology in actual operation.
The gate is open from 10:45 am to 3 pm. Train rides begin at 11 am. We also have extensive layouts for 4" and 3 1/2" gauge model trains. The Los Angeles Live Steamers Railroad Museum survives solely on donations by railfans who visit and ride our trains.
One of the main attractions of the Los Angeles Live Steamers Railroad Museum is its 7 1/2 inch (190.5 mm) gauge miniature railway. The museum operates locomotives on this railway that pull trains, which visitors can ride.
