  3. The Labrador Retriever Club of Great Britain, affiliated to the Kennel Club, was founded in 1916. The Objects of the Club: To encourage the breeding of pure, sound Labradors; To protect the type of Labrador that has proved itself so eminently suitable for work; To encourage Field Trials and Shows, and to ensure qualified judges at both.
