The next time he buys a Land's End shirt, he's not going to experience that jump in quality and will likely perceive the new shirt as not as high quality as the first one. Of course, this is just my hypothesis, but I would not be surprised to find some truth in it. Edit: If you don't think they're bad quality then for you they aren't bad quality.

Ll bean is definitely better quality than lands end. Sometimes the lower quality is ok and I still buy the lands end item. Overall I agree with others that quality was better years ago but I wouldn’t say it’s the same as J.C. Penney. I watch for sales and strike then. 1.

20 Αυγ 2021 · If that statement is true, then the opposite is true that "brand Y's quality has improved" and that's a statement not found on the internet. Nope. Not anymore. I feel like Lands End, LL Bean, and even Eddie Bauer, aren't really BIFL. They are more "great price for the quality you get." I buy a lot from LL Bean.
Usually with Lands End/Gap/LL Bean/Banana Republic shirts I am a Large but the sleeves are just 1/2" too short, which leaves me with the options of: 1. Buying Large and hoping it doesn't shrink or else I have to roll up the sleeves, 2. Tall sizes so the sleeves are 1" too long, or 3.
