4 Ιαν 2016 · 1. LogExpert is useless for files that contain more than 10000 log records; it starts to "eat" all CPU time on single CPU core even when tail functionality is disables. Not for big log files for sure. Not for real time updates (hangs quickly on large files). – Vitalii.

Only before the opening, allow big sizes via the option in "user.json": "ui_max_size_open": 1000, Then it can load files up to 1000Mb. "Lite lexer" XML^ must support your huge file, . Currently few lite lexers are made: XML ^, JSON ^, Log files ^, SQL ^.
30 Σεπ 2021 · Note: I have already read Best viewer for large text files (> 10GB) and Text editor or reader for working with huge files in Windows but here the specific point is the compressed file support. In order to view the content of > 10 GB files, I usually use "wxHexEditor" which is great (see screenshot below).

I just discovered this editor recently when I was looking for an editor that can open open large files. Once every month or two, I seem to have a need to look at a large text file and I decided I would hunt down my definitive tool(s) for doing as such.
30 Αυγ 2021 · What makes a good viewer (for me): Displays CSV in Grid view, not as plain text (as it would be in Notepad++) Has CSV centric features, like skipping the first x rows, define headers, etc. Allows editing of the file. Allows advanced searching and find / replace. Bonus: Allows advanced editing like column splitting, date / locale transformations ...
Windows MBox Viewer didn't work for me even with a 1.4 GB .mbox file, which seemed to be too large for it. and if possible: @BarathVutukuri thanks I haven't tried it yet but it looks quite useful! You could try loading the MBOX file into an IMAP server that uses MBOX for back-end storage. I believe Dovecot does this.
10 Ιουλ 2021 · I have used the "crisp" text editor for large data files and have never found a file size limit either in line width or in number of lines. It has been around for a long time. It has a myriad of advanced editing modes including hex, macros, search/replace, and many others. It is commercial. Available on linux, windows, and mac.
I'm looking for a pickle (standard mechanism for object serialization in Python) file viewer for Windows 7. I'm aware that it's unlikely that a general viewer exists (i.e. that could open any pickle), but I missed interested in simple pickles containing lists or dictionaries.
