Lent Prayer Service. Greeting: Lent is a special time in the church, the time when we prepare for Easter. We prepare through almsgiving, prayer, penance, good works, fasting, and sacrifice. We renew our faith and reflect on Jesus’ love—his living, dying, and rising from the dead. He is our Savior and our Lord.
