4 Ιουν 2020 · The lichess stockfish bots only have 8 discrete difficulty options and do not surface where on the actual stockfish difficulty setting scale from 1-20 they correspond to, rendering a winrate ELO analysis of them useless for the purposes of determining strength of a direct interface to the engine. –
11 Φεβ 2021 · Lichess uses the Glicko-2 algorithm with an initial rating of 1500. Neither of them uses the Elo algorithm ( not ELO - it's not an abbreviation). Furthermore, it doesn't make sense to compare the ratings even if both sites used the same system, as they have different player pools.
27 Μαΐ 2021 · I'm sure lichess gives higher rating than chess.com for the same player. In fact, the lichess rating is also higher than the FIDE rating. I personally know a lot of FIDE 2200 rated players achieve ~ 2600 on lichess, equivalent to GM on FIDE scale (but they are not GM). I'm personally also a few hundred ELO points behind on chess.com than lichess.
16 Σεπ 2023 · 2. If you play mostly bullet you will be better at bullet. Bullet restricts the depth of thinking to a very small amount of time which means its easier for one to make a mistake for the opponent to capitalize on. Increase the time length that someone can make their plans their position becomes harder to capitalize on.
24 Φεβ 2021 · There is a mobile app called ChessAlly (you can find it on the Apple app store) that allows you to create puzzles from your own games on Lichess or Chess.com It uses Lichess or Chess.com API to fetch your games and uses Stockfish on the backend to create puzzles from positions where you could gain or not lose at least 0.5 point

On lichess, go to tools then choose Analysis board: The editor allows you to import FEN, PGN or edit the board yourself. You have access to two proper opening databases, one extracted from the games played on lichess and one from the masters games (top players).

It puts my bad moves (and those of my opponent) in one of three categories; "inaccuracy", "mistake" and "blunder". I guessed from the names (and the positions) that an inaccuracy is better than a blunder, but I wondered what the definitions were.

3 Μαρ 2018 · lichess is browsed via mobile (not on a desktop pc) Please note that the elaboration is not done serverside, but clientside. That means that it uses (part of) the resources of the hardware you are using when browsing lichess (!). In other terms if you browse on a mobile the engine will be weaker.
