The City of Los Altos is a combination Inspection Jurisdiction, ALL appropriate trades shall be completed at the time of your requested inspection. AM Inspections will be performed between 8:00AM -12:00PM. PM Inspection will be performed between 12:30PM - 3:30PM. If you selected ANY it will be assigned to AM or PM the morning of your inspection.
Beginning July 1st, 2024 All building permits must be submitted electronically through the Los Altos Hills eTrakit portal. Users must create a user profile as either a contractor or homeowner prior to submission of a building permit application.
Inspections are required for all permits that are issued. The type and number of inspections required depends on the type of work that is being done. All building Inspections must be scheduled online using eTrakit. Morning Inspection requests are between the hours of 8:30 AM and 12 PM.
This site provides access to Community Development services, allowing the public to look up construction related activities for any property located within the town. The system offers different levels of access to planning, building, and engineering information depending on the type of account the user has.
