Are you an International Educated Nurse (IEN) seeking information on opportunities in Manitoba? As an IEN, an assessment and some additional training may be required before you can obtain registration with a regulatory nursing college in Manitoba. Follow the steps below to apply for registration with one of the nursing colleges:
Welcome to the IEN in Manitoba Program. Please fill out the following intake form. This form will gather information which will be used to offer support navigating the licensure pathway for IENs living in Manitoba who wish to become nurses in Manitoba.
The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide an organization through which boards of nursing act and counsel together on matters of common interest and concern affecting the public health, safety and welfare, including the development of licensing examinations in nursing.
There are three regulated nursing professions in Manitoba – registered nurses (which also includes nurse practitioners), registered psychiatric nurses, and licensed practical nurses. Career opportunities exist across Manitoba in rural, northern and urban settings.
