7 Δεκ 2023 · Ho’okipa Beach Park is a world-class surfing and windsurfing destination on the North Shore of Maui. In addition to the incredible surf conditions, it is famous for being a haven for more Hawaiian sea turtles than any other beach on the island.
Hookipa Beach is one of the most awesome beaches in Maui for sightseeing, especially if the waves are high and strong, which was the case when we visited there on a January afternoon. Ample parking is available. There are two sections here – the sandy beach and the rocky coast.
31 Ιαν 2024 · Facing the windward side of Maui, Ho’okipa Beach is situated on the north shore, just a short drive from the towns of Kahului and Paia. Starting from Kahului, head south on the scenic Hana Highway, also known as Highway 36, towards Paia (check out the Ho’okipa Beach map).
The beach boasts unsurpassed views of Maui's craggy central coastline and lush West Maui Mountains. Sunbathing, beach walking, picnicking, turtle watching, and surfing are popular activities at Hookipa.

Paia is a town on Maui 's north shore. With much less concrete, no resorts and a number of beaches known for their huge waves, it has a different look and feel than the resort towns to the west and south.
